Narwastu performed at the Bali Arts Festival for the first time in 2012. The evening concert was held outdoor on the Ksirarnawa stage under a beautiful full moon. The 1.5 hour show featured classic Balinese dance such as Tari Gabor and Demang Miring, new compositions by I Wayan Rajeg and Putu Gde Sukaryana as well as new arrangements of several songs. Choreographers included Ni Ketut Arini, Ida Ayu Made Diastini, Dewa Kun and Tina Boyles-Bailey and I Gde Suryana Negara. The theme of the PKB 2012, Paras Paros (Dynamism in Togetherness), provided a fitting context for Narwastu to demonstrate that artists from different cultures can work together to create a dynamic and unified expression of art.
